Web Developer
Responsibilities
The web developer position requires broad developer skills that focus 50% on sophisticated Microsoft web development and 50% on strong T-SQL and PL/SQL.
- Develop, maintain & troubleshoot complex database driven web applications
- Provide user & technical documentation with every project release, with a commitment to robust commenting
- Strong team player with a commitment to excellence
- Web development using ASP, .NET, VB Script, JavaScript, XML, Visual Interdev & Visual Source Safe
- IIS 5 & 6 configuration, troubleshooting, & administration (including security issues)
- SQL 7.0, SQL Server 2000 and Oracle 8i / 9i configuration and administration
- Develop, maintain, enhance, & troubleshoot complex MS T-SQL & Oracle PL/SQL queries, stored procedures etc.
- Troubleshoot problems related to the performance tuning of stored procedures, tables, & indexes/keys
- Travel up to 20%
Requirements:
Requires a BS in computer science or related fields and several years of experience developing in a Microsoft-based web/db environment. Successful candidate must have demonstrated ability to analyze existing code/processes to identify improvements, to conceptualize and develop new tools, and effectively release projects into production.
- Must have 3-5 yrs software development experience with 2+ yrs developing complex web applications
- 2+ yrs designing, developing & coding with advanced techniques in ASP.Net, VB Script, JavaScript, HTML, ActiveX, .Net frameworks (ASP, DHTLM, CSS & COM)
- 2+ yrs Microsoft T-SQL or Oracle PL/SQL Query Languages: creating/modifying complex stored procedures, triggers, packages & views, relational DB management (configuration, maintenance, & performance tuning)
- Experience with IIS5/6 & Windows 2003 O/S
- Basic knowledge of network protocols & interfaces (TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, NNTP, LDAP), security (SSL, PKI, Kerberos), UML modeling & use case methodology
- Excellent, verbal & written communication skills
- Self-directed & able to manage multiple priorities & deadlines effectively
- RFID Experience a plus
